hannah's speciality is medieval woodcut and engraving style tattooing: heavy linework built from hatching and line weight rather than shading. knights, saints, martyrs, animals, objects that look lifted out of a manuscript.
she also has a flair for scriptwork and fine, delicate florals and natural subjects, pieces that sit smaller and lighter than her large-scale work. every design is drawn by hand and fitted to your body with careful consideration. no flash, no repeats.
her influences are history, culture and nature. to hannah, the craft is more than decoration: it's a way to preserve stories and memory so they don't slip away in a world that forgets all too quickly.
she comes from a traditional tattoo background, apprenticing at a studio in bury st edmunds before moving to shade, and that grounding gives her solid foundations to build on. four and a half years in now.
bring her a reference or even just an idea in words, and she'll draw something around it rather than copy what you found online. that stage takes longer than a straightforward transfer would, but it's what makes the piece yours.
expect a professional, clean and friendly service, with longevity, flow and balance in mind from the first sketch. sessions are quiet and steady. detail of this kind goes down one pass at a time, with no shortcut to rushing it, and she talks you through her research as she goes, which is as much a part of the process as the ink itself.
